Lee Tradition: Cheongsams for Chinese New Year

除夕 (The day before Chinese New Year)

Our night was spent serving customers in mum's shop. We had mainly three big groups in the shop that day and business was crazy!! ( HUAT AHHHHH ) :)

Despite the busyness, we're really delighted that families chose to have their reunion dinner over at Home Of Joy! :)

初一

Woke up with Ang Bao under my pillow :)
压岁钱 (Ya Sui Qian)

Since young, Mum will always put an angbao under our pillows the night before new year day.
Some say that it's to bring luck, shun away evil spirits in hope that their children will pass the year and grow up safely while others say that it's to stop children from growing older. (why wanna stop them from growing up?!? )

Well there are a number of sayings to this...

Whatever the true meaning is.. got angbao can already right?! hahaha kidding la I always try to be someone who keeps tradition okay.. try la!!

Before changing into my Cheongsam!!!!! :)

TADAAAAAA!! :)

Glad that we made our cheongsam earlier this year! :)
We rushed like mad the last few years!!

Off to Stanley's house to 拜年 (bai nian)
We would usually wear our previous years cheongsams on the second day of Chinese New Year onwards

Pardon my puffy eyes! HAHAHAHA

The design for this cheongsam is amazing, really love how it has button details all the way to the bottom.

The second day ended with my friends coming over to my house!! :)

初三 (Chu San)

Off to Uncle Alan's house (Dad's Friend)

Their annual gatherings were usually held at our place on the third day of every New Year.
But since things happened, they haven't been meeting up and i'm really glad we're starting to meet again this year! But at a different location now!! :)
ahhhh so happy!!! :):)

Featuring more cheongsams!!! :)

Chinese New Year visiting more or less came to an end for my family this year.
Our family isn't really big huh hahaha :)

Really love how we met up with people, caught up and most importantly, had a good time!! :)
